Welcome to the Black Mountain Haunted House—where fear meets philanthropy. What started as a small neighborhood event has grown into a spine-chilling spectacle that has become a must-visit Halloween attraction in our community.
Our Origins In 2020, as the world grappled with the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to create something special for our local community. With traditional trick-or-treating off the table, we built a small haunted house in our yard to bring some Halloween spirit to the children in our neighborhood. The response was overwhelming, with over 3000 kids and their families attending. The joy and excitement we witnessed inspired us to think bigger.
Our Mission The Black Mountain Haunted House isn’t just about delivering thrills and chills—it’s about making a positive impact. Run by a dedicated group of psychiatric nurses, their friends, and family members, we understand the importance of supporting those who need it most. That’s why we decided to turn our haunted house into a business that gives back. Each year, The Black Mountain Haunted House makes a donation to the KGH Foundation for the McNair Mental Health Unit, helping to support vital mental health initiatives in Kelowna. To date, we’ve raised over $15,000 and continue to grow our efforts.
The Experience every year, we push the boundaries to create an immersive, terrifying experience that leaves our guests both thrilled and terrified. From terrifying spiders to deranged clowns, each section of our haunted house is meticulously designed to send shivers down your spine. And this year, we’re excited to take things to the next level by partnering with Hillcrest Farm Market. With a new location and expanded space, we’re bringing even more scares, more surprises, and more ways to make a difference.
Join Us Whether you’re a horror enthusiast looking for the ultimate scare or a community member wanting to support a worthy cause, the Black Mountain Haunted House offers something for everyone. We’re proud to be a part of this community and even prouder to give back through our event.
So come, enter if you dare, and be part of a Halloween tradition that’s as meaningful as it is terrifying.
Thank you for supporting the Black Mountain Haunted House. Together, we’re making a difference—one scream at a time.
