Step 1: Fill Out the Volunteer Application Form
Start by completing our online Volunteer Application Form. This form helps us learn more about you and what roles you’re interested in. Don’t worry if you’re new to volunteering—there’s a place for everyone!
Step 2: Choose Your Role
After orientation, you’ll have the chance to select your preferred role. Whether you want to be an actor, help with set design, or assist with guest services, we’ll make sure you’re placed in a role that matches your skills and interests.
Step 3: Get Ready to Scare!
Once your role is confirmed, you’ll receive all the information you need to prepare for your volunteer shift. This includes your schedule, costume requirements, and any additional training. Then, it’s time to join us in creating the spookiest haunted house experience yet!

On the day of your shift, arrive at the haunted house ready to have a blast and make a difference. Our team will be there to support you every step of the way, ensuring you have a great time while helping to raise funds for a vital cause.
Do I need any experience to volunteer?
No experience is necessary! We welcome volunteers of all skill levels and will provide any training you need.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. If you’re acting in the haunted house, we’ll provide you with a costume. If you’re helping with setup or guest services, dress comfortably and according to the weather.
What is the time commitment required for volunteers?
Volunteers are typically asked to commit to at least one evening during the event. Shifts usually last 4-5 hours, but we’re flexible and can work with your availability.
Do I need to bring my own costume?
No, we provide costumes and makeup for our volunteers, depending on the role you choose. If you have a specific costume you’d like to wear, let us know, and we’ll see if it fits our theme!
Is there an age requirement to volunteer?
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. If you are under 18, we require a parent or guardian to sign a consent form. We’ll provide the form for you to take home and have signed.

Will food and drinks be provided?
Yes, we provide light snacks and water for our volunteers during their shifts. We recommend eating a meal before you arrive.
Is there parking available at the haunted house?
Yes, there is parking available at Hillcrest Farm Market. However, we do encourage carpooling to reduce traffic.
Are there any strobe lights or loud noises?
Yes, our haunted house uses strobe lights, fog machines, and loud sound effects to enhance the experience. If you’re sensitive to these effects, please take caution.
Is the haunted house suitable for people with medical conditions?
The haunted house is designed to be intense and may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, including heart issues, epilepsy, or severe anxiety. Please consult your doctor if you have concerns.
Can I take photos or videos inside the haunted house?
We ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos inside the haunted house during your shift to ensure everyone has an immersive experience. However, feel free to snap pictures before or after hours.
